TvSerialinfo : Toni-Ann Singh is the winner of the “69th Miss World 2019” competition. She has won the “Miss Jamaica World 20.  Toni-Ann was born in 1996 (age 23 years; as in 2019), in Morant, Saint Thomas, a town in Jamaica. At the age of 9, Toni, along with her family, moved to Florida.

Singh became the fourth contestant of Jamaican descent to win the Miss World title 2019 held in London. The other three who won the title are Carol Joan Crawford 1962, Cindy Breakspear 1976, and Lisa Hanna 1993.

Roshelle McKinley and Alanna Wanliss became the first runner-up and second runner-up, respectively.

Toni-Ann Singh was born to Bradshaw Singh, who belongs from the Indo-Caribbean descent. Her mother is Jahrine Bailey-Singh from the African-Caribbean descent. Toni is very close to her mother. She posted a photo with her mother on her Instagram, captioning,

I am a product of the many sacrifices this incredible and #WorthyWoman has made. For every hour (and there were many) spent in the car waiting for a voice, piano, or ballet class to finish. After winning the Miss World 2019 title, she said,

My family being here was very important and their support motivated me to do my utmost best. When Dad came on stage to hug me, he accidentally knocked the crown off, but that’s just Dad.”

Toni Ann Career

Toni has worked as the President of the Caribbean students association on campus. The first beauty pageant in which she participated was for Florida Caribbean Association in 2005. She participated in the 58th Miss Jamaica contest in 2019. She won the contest and was crowned as Miss Jamaica 2019 on 21 September 2019, by Miss World Jamaica 2018, Kadijah Robinson.

Apart from winning the title, Toni also won the Talent Challenge, Best Personality and Most Photogenic awards in the contest.Toni started singing at a local church when she was around 5 or 6. At the age of 9, she took singing seriously, and later, joined music classes. She is a versatile opera singer. In an interview, she said,
I think there was a time when I (wanted to sing) when I really thought about what I wanted to do with my life – and that turned out to be serving people, and medicine, and helping people in my community. I haven’t written it off. If the doors open, why not?”

Her hobbies include singing, cooking, and vlogging.
She is well versed in English and Jamaican Creole languages.
