The makers have ditch the audience. They have not launch the web series on its prescribed date, 17th January, 2020. The web series did not release on the streaming platform, as originally planned. The viewers are quite upset. There’s been no information forthcoming from Amazon Prime Video regarding a new release date for Afsos.
The eight-episode series is co-created by Dibya Chatterjee and renowned comedian Anirban Dasgupta. The story of Afsos web series is written by Anirban Dasgupta along with Dibya Chatterjee and Sourav Ghosh, and is directed by Anubhuti Kashyap and Ramesh Damodaran.
The suspense thriller is a dark comedy about a suicidal man, a maverick monk and a deadly assassin amidst the realm of immortality.

Nakul’s only goal in life is to seek some sort of a closure. After several failed suicide attempts, he pays for his own death. Upadhyay, a deadly women assassin is assigned to get the job done. But Nakul has a change of heart. He chooses to live, however Upadhyay never leaves a job undone.
A riveting cat and mouse chase ensues while a divine intervention flips everything upside down in this black comedy thriller.

Amazon Prime Video have release the first trailer of its upcoming web series, Afsos. The trailer protagonist Nakul (Role played by Gulshan Devaiah). He ponders over his place in the universe. While he ponders, our attention is diverted to his head – it is positioned strategically on a railway track, right in the path of an incoming train. But… he lives to tell the tale…. to his shrink (Anjali Patil, of Newton fame). She repeats in incredulous wonder – this was your eleventh attempt? Therein lies the premise of the web series Afsos, Amazon Prime Video’s first Indian Original series of the new year.
Nakul wants to end his life, but fails in all his eleven suicide attempts. He decides to outsource the job. An eccentric pair of contract killers Ratnabali Bhattacharjee and Ujjwal Chopra. The duo mouths some truly hilarious lines. A female assassin Upadhyay (role played by Heeba Shah) is entrusted with the job of helping Nakul end his life. The rest of the trailer shows a hilarious comedy of errors, a thrilling chase, fleeting images of a long-haired messiah….. and a ghost!
